A strong CRC 1701 presence at MTNS 2026 in Waterloo, Canada!
Several members of the CRC 1701 are contributing to this year’s International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems (MTNS 2026) — one of the major international conferences in systems and control.
Kirsten Morris, Mercator Fellow of CRC 1701 and member of our Advisory Committee, served as Conference Co-Chair of this highly successful event.
CRC members Birgit Jacob and Anthony Hastir organized two invited sessions on infinite-dimensional port-Hamiltonian systems, bringing together researchers working at the forefront of this rapidly developing field.
Another highlight was the semi-plenary lecture by Hector Ramirez on
“Control by Interconnection of Irreversible Port-Hamiltonian Systems.”
And there is much more: CRC 1701 members are contributing several presentations throughout the conference, showcasing the breadth of current research in port-Hamiltonian systems, infinite-dimensional systems, modelling, analysis, and control.
It is wonderful to see the port-Hamiltonian community so strongly represented at MTNS 2026 — and to see the international network around CRC 1701 continuing to grow!
