2nd Annual Retreat: Four days of mathematics, exchange, and collaboration
From September 7–10, 2026, around 60 members of the CRC 1701 came together for our second annual retreat.
The retreat gave us plenty of space to dive into ongoing research, share results, exchange ideas, and work together across projects. Alongside the presentations, we especially valued the time for lively discussions, teamwork, and conversations beyond the individual research topics.
A special highlight was the talk by Christina B. Class (Jena) on “Ethics in Science”, which invited us to reflect on questions of responsibility, integrity, and good scientific practice.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed with presentations, questions, ideas, organization, and great team spirit. It was a productive and energizing few days — and a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the connections within CRC 1701.
