Project description:
Fair direct comparisons of computational methods are crucial in science. If done on an individual basis, this requires to re-implement, at great expense, existing methods as part of all new developments. Public benchmark platforms, as already established in machine learning, overcome this. As a joint effort, we build and run such a platform for port-Hamiltonian systems. The project centralizes the development and maintenance of the necessary hard- and software infrastructure, supports the aggregation of benchmark test cases while providing reference implementations, and it fosters relevant community work.
