PI Hannes Gernandt will be admitted into the Junges Kolleg
PI Hannes Gernandt will be admitted into the Junges Kolleg of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences and Arts on January 1 next year – an award that provides promising young researchers and artists with financial and professional support, see https://www.awk.nrw/news/sieben-neumitglieder-im-jungen-kolleg
Admission to the Junges Kolleg is an important distinction for young scientists in North Rhine-Westphalia. Scholarship holders receive annual funding of €10,000 for a period of four years. They also have the opportunity to discuss their projects in interdisciplinary working groups and exchange ideas with renowned members of the academy. Scientists from all disciplines can be appointed to the Junges Kolleg. They must have already achieved outstanding scientific achievements beyond their doctorate, must not be older than 36, and must not yet hold a permanent university teaching position.
We warmly congratulate Hannes on this outstanding distinction.
